Steel saws are specialized in cutting metals, relying on the reciprocating cutting of the saw blade back and forth. The saw blade is made of high-speed steel or bimetallic (tough back and hard edge), with a tooth pitch of 14-32 TPI. Common saw frames range from 10 "to 12", made of cast aluminum or steel pipes. Select the materials corresponding to the tooth pitch (coarse 18 TPI cutting aluminum, fine 24 TPI cutting thin iron plate), whether the saw blade tension nut is smooth, whether the saw frame is rigid (steel pipe is harder than cast aluminum), and whether the cutting angle can be adjusted.
