Pipe Wrench 1 products
A pipe wrench grips and turns round stock — steel pipe, galvanised tube, valves — using hardened serrated jaws that bite into the wall. Common sizes run 8"–36", with a drop-forged carbon steel body and induction-hardened teeth. Two things matter when buying: whether the jaws are replaceable (cheaper than a new wrench once the teeth wear) and whether the adjusting nut turns freely, since a sticky nut is hard to work one-handed in an oily environment. For plastic or polished pipe use a strap wrench instead — serrated jaws leave marks.
