Fishing Pliers 0 products
Fishing pliers do three jobs at once: unhooking a fish, cutting braid and wire trace, and opening split rings — which is why the cutters are usually tungsten carbide and the body is corrosion-treated. Common sizes are 6"–8", with a spring for one-handed use and usually a lanyard. Check that the cutters will actually take wire trace (this is what separates them from ordinary pliers), that there is a split-ring point, and how they resist salt: for sea fishing buy a pair explicitly rated for saltwater.
